COTTAGE STAYS

Additional Guests

Cnoc Suain is a peaceful, privately owned home which is shared with other guests. The number of persons using the cottages and/or grounds must not exceed the number of paid guests stated when booking.

To retain Cnoc Suain’s privacy and exclusivity, we reserve the right to refuse entry to any visitors who have not been booked into a cottage.

If more than the maximum allowed persons stay in a cottage, the party will be asked to leave immediately, without refund.

Parties

Cnoc Suain is a peaceful place and has a no party policy. This includes hen and stag parties.

Use of accommodation

If booked as self-catering holiday lettings, the cottages must not be used for commercial use or gain, and must be used for the purpose of self-catering accommodation only.

Age restrictions

Stays are for 14 + years only. Cnoc Suain Exploration is for 16 + years only. The rugged terrain (bogpools, dry stone walls) surrounding Cnoc Suain is unsuitable for children.

Smoking policy

Smoking is prohibited in all cottages and buildings. Cnoc Suain’s natural surroundings and thatch roofs are highly flammable, particularly during dry weather. We would ask all guests not to smoke when walking the grounds of Cnoc Suain and to practice extreme caution when smoking outside the cottages. Cigarettes must be properly extinguished and disposed of in the sand bucket stationed outside each cottage. Each cottage is fitted with smoke-alarms.

Pets

Cnoc Suain does not accept pets. This is a highly sensitive ecosystem and a nature reserve, we allow fauna to flourish undisturbed. We have livestock on the property and in neighbouring farms.

Drones

The use of drones is prohibited at all times.

Waste disposal

We would ask all guests not to flush wipes, sanitary products or chemicals down toilets and to dispose of them in the waste bins provided. Please dispose of clean, dry recycling in recycling bin provided.

Accessibility

Unfortunately due to the size of our traditional cottages and the rugged terrain, Cnoc Suain is not wheelchair accessible.

Limitations of liability

The use of holiday accommodation and any facilities is entirely at the guests' own risk and no liability is accepted for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained during the holiday to any member of the party, or any car and its contents or any possessions of the guest.

Damages

A condition of acceptance of any booking is that the guests will take good care of the cottage and its contents, and that it is left in a truly clean and tidy state as it will have been found. The care is to include all furnishings, utensils, crockery and linen and though you might not be charged for minor breakages, you are responsible for all damage or breakages. We currently do not take any security deposit, however any cost of repair or replacement from damages will be charged to the guest upon check-out.
